Happy Fathers Day

Happy Father's Day!

On this Father's Day, I want to take a moment to honor the men who have accepted one of life's greatest callings: the calling to be a father.

In today's world, being a godly father is not easy. Our culture often mocks biblical manhood, confuses leadership with domination, and encourages men to pursue success while neglecting their families. Yet Scripture paints a very different picture. A godly father is called to love sacrificially, lead humbly, protect courageously, discipline faithfully, and point his children to Jesus every day.

Many fathers quietly carry burdens that few people ever see. They work long hours, wrestle with financial pressures, pray over children who are making difficult choices, and wonder if they are doing enough. If that describes you, know that your labor is not unnoticed by God.

"As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him."
— Psalm 103:13

Our heavenly Father is the perfect example of patience, mercy, strength, and unwavering love. Every earthly father falls short at times, but God's grace is greater than our failures. The greatest legacy a father can leave is not wealth, achievement, or possessions. It is a life that faithfully points his family toward Christ.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
— Proverbs 22:6

To every father, grandfather, stepfather, adoptive father, and spiritual father in our church family: thank you. Your labor for the Lord matters. Your example matters. Your encouragement matters. The countless small acts of love, sacrifice, and faithfulness that often go unnoticed are shaping lives for eternity.

May God strengthen every father to lead with wisdom, love with compassion, stand with courage, and finish the race with faithfulness. Our homes, our churches, and our communities desperately need men of God who will humbly follow Christ and lead their families by both word and example.

Happy Father's Day! May the Lord richly bless you and your family today and always.
