12 Simple Beliefs
Our church strives to follow the authentic practices of the first-century Church of God. The Bible contains many teachings. The following twelve simple beliefs below are the ones we focus on because they are the ones that Jesus taught and the first century church practiced.
1. Scripture as the inspired rule of faith and practice (2 Tim. 3:16)
2. Salvation by grace alone through faith in Christ (Eph. 2:8)
3. The Gospel Commission (Matt. 28:19-20)
4. Moral, ethical, just and righteous living (Rom. 8:4)
5. God the Father, Jesus the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19)
6. Love as the most important attribute of God (1 John 4:8)
7. The seventh day Sabbath was made for mankind (Mark 2:27)
8. Baptism by immersion in water (Mark 16:16)
9. The annual Lord’s Supper service (1 Cor. 11:23-25)
10. The sanctity of all human life including the unborn (1 Cor. 3:16-17)
11 Financially supporting the work of the Lord (2 Cor. 9:7)
12. Utilizing one’s spiritual gifts in building the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 12)
